I hope to get a response from all candidates soon so I can make a logical decision regarding my local cities upcoming elections.
*Facebook message to Russel Blewett current candidate for Hesperia City Council*
"Dear Mr. Blewett,
I met you last Wednesday at the rotary club meeting in Hesperia, CA, where you are running for the Hesperia City Council. You indicated at the meeting that you "will always be available to YOU regarding any city issues".
I would like to know your view and voting intentions regarding Proposition 19, currently on the ballot for November 2, 2010, as a potential person of major influence in my local area, and as a candidate for the office of Hesperia City Council member. This proposition, which currently has around 50% support in favor throughout the state, will directly affect all of your local constituents.
I will be asking this specific question to all local city officials in the High Desert area and be posting their responses to my blog (http://highdesertcalocalpoilitcs.blogspot.com/), available for any local residents who care about the future leadership of their community. I feel this proposition if passed, without a doubt, will change very many things within our state, as well as every community in California.
I consider myself to be a moderate conservative Republican, and intend to vote Yes on this proposition. My reasons are varied and I would be glad to discuss them with you. I would like to know the position and reasons behind their position, of all local/national elected officials, prior to me casting my vote on November 2, 2010.
I would like, in writing, your opinion regarding the local issues this proposition would create if passed, as well as your intended vote regarding this proposition. Specifically, your intentions for local implementation/ opposition, if passed?
Thank you in advance for your prompt response, so I can properly evaluate your responses with facts and determine your eligibility to represent myself and all of Hesperia in the City Council.
Sincerely,
Craig M Crawford Sr."
